The Hora

Jewish weddings are full of traditions, and the most exciting of them all is the Hora, or the chair dance where the bride and groom are hoisted up in the air while family and guests dance around them.

Often during the Hora the bride and groom are separated and sometimes they are even tossed up in the air as shown in this photograph taken by Michael Greenberg in Montreal Quebec, Canada. For these particular moments a wide angle lens and a slower shutter speed is recommended to emphasizethe craziness and emotion of the Hora.

Location: Montreal, Canada.
